MAPS THAT WORK!

The Infinite Vanishing Point Curvature Plane Mapping Method was created in 1963 by the founder of EPM.  Environmental Perspective Maps is the sole source for this superior mapping method.  This mathematically accurate method compensates for the curved plane of the earth's surface, thus giving a more pleasing appearance that is also easier to understand than other mapping methods.

        • The normal vanishing point method is less desirable since the foreground "looms" greatly enlarged and diminishes the background beyond recognition.
        • The traced aerial photo method is a gross optical distortion and contains many unwanted details (unwanted foilage, neighboring structures).  There is also no accurate basis for updating such a drawing.
        • Flat mapping is fast and easy.  However, the ordinary (no terrain) maps tell the user little about your facilities.  This method does not possess any of the perfectly created artistic qualities that generate excitement and enhance user interest.

EPM maps solve these common mapping dilemas.

The Infinite Vanishing Point Curvature Plane Method solves mapping problems by compensating for the natural curved plane of the earth.  Every object in the drawing has a known X, Y, and Z displacement.  The representation can be amended to add or delete any detail to the map that a customer desires, i.e., shrubbery, window details, etc.

Environmental Perspective Maps represent perspective in its most accurate AND artistic form.  We mathematically interpolate your two-dimensional (flat) site plan topographic map into a curvilinear projection plane.  Then all technical data (plans) concerning the structures and streets in the area to be mapped are plotted into the newly created curvilinear plane.  This method yields the exact location of all structures relative to each other and the environment.  Next the building plans or photos are used to create the maps in their final three-dimensional form.  The final product is an electronic vector file drawing suitable for high quality printing.  File choices range from Adobe Illustrator (AIF) to Windows Metafile (WMF).
